Emberá Girls 2

"I added only the marañon tree and fruit to the left to kind of balance things out."
John L. Haines

This painting (24x36 inches) was done on commission and based upon a photo taken by a friend of the purchaser.  I added only the marañon tree and fruit to the left to kind of balance things out.  The subjects are two Emberá Indian girls, one of whom is draped in an elaborate shawl.  Very colorful, especially set against the rather drab patch of dirt, probably in the middle of a jungle village, on which they are standing.
